Just drive down Kaggadasapura main road that starts from C.V. Raman Nagar bus terminus and look to the right side for a yellow board showing “6th cross road” that comes just after a blue + white building called “Motherland” . Enter right into 6th cross road and come to the last building with a laundry shop and Preethi beauty parlour in the ground floor.)  You will see our signboard on the 1st floor "Raja's Chess Academy" This venue is quite convenient for residents of Kaggadasapura, C.V.Raman Nagar , Thippasandra and Indiranagar .

International Master, International Arbiter, Former National champion, Olympic team captain and reputed chess coach RAJA RAVI SEKHAR is conducting  chess coaching classes for local children at the above mentioned venue .For details you can also visit or call Raja on 93412 32790 or Prabhakar on 98459 14727.

There will be classes on Mondays for regular batch (children between 9 and 16) and Thursdays for junior batch (children below 9 as well as newcomers to the game ) from 630 pm to 745 pm. For details of  monthly fees call Raja on 93412 32790 . Class timings 630 pm to 745 pm .     

Classes will run like a course for six months with option to play in any of the four monthly practice tournaments (entry fee for each event Rs.150/-) and tests from time to time. You can book for 3 tournaments in advance at a discounted rate of a total charge of Rs.300- Certificates after final exams etc will be issued at the end of the course. Students will then have the option to continue at higher level courses or withdraw. For personal reasons any student may withdraw with one months notice. Monthly fees to be paid in advance by the end of the first week.

The master coach will suggest reading and study material that will be suitable for the students as also materials for playing chess on computers, using software, databases, sample games from internet sources etc will all be given at the academy at nominal cost. Tournament quality chess sets will also be available at Rs.225/-

You will also get proper information regarding schedule of open tournaments, tournaments for children , State Championships, National Championships , Asian and world events for children and assistance will be given in forwarding the entry fees, entry forms, player registration forms etc.

If you are shifting outside Bangalore in India or going abroad , you will also get some follow up contact details for further play, practice , coaching etc.

There will also be a parents meeting every month  to review the progress of their children.
